Green Poop Awareness
Once upon a time, as a freshman in college, a good friend confided in me that his poop was suddenly coming out neon green. I considered myself to be quite the poop expert at that time, but even I was baffled by what could cause such a thing. Turns out the culprit was black licorice, and that, my friends, is why I feel it is so important to spread the news in time for Easter. If you're a freak like me and like to hoard all of the black jellybeans for yourself, you may have already experienced a bright green surprise and this isn't news to you. But for those of you were previously unaware, consider yourselves schooled! You're welcome.
Welcome to the Diary of Li'l Crohnsie, where you can find not only my musings and rants about the horror of my bowel activities, but articles, anecdotes and other resources for those of us living with IBD and similar chronic health issues.
Despite having been re-diagnosed as having Ulcerative Colitis, "Li'l Crohnsie" was a college nickname, thus I have dubbed this blog as such for nostalgic reasons.
The purpose of this blog is, contrary to popular belief, not to gross you out but rather to encourage other patients of IBD to shed the shame that is often associated with excess (and often uncontrollable) pooping.
